For brothers Frank and Alan King, childhood is synonymous with cattle production. Raised on the farm their father developed, they learned early how to manage a beef operation. Frank’s interest extended to 4-H and as a teenager he attended national congresses to show animals.
Both brothers pursued off-farm careers, Frank in engineering and Alan in public school administration. But in their spare time, they helped their father on the farm and took over the operation when he passed away. The farm remains a cherished gathering place for family now that their respective children have grown and moved away. In recent years, the King brothers have focused on raising and finishing high quality Angus beef on pasture for local markets. With lush and abundant forages, their animals thrive outdoors year-round.
