We are seeking an enthusiastic Brand Ambassador to represent Firsthand Foods at in-store product tastings and community food events. This is a customer-facing role for someone who enjoys cooking, talking about food, and sharing the story behind what people eat.
As a Brand Ambassador, you will cook and serve pork and beef samples, engage shoppers in conversation, tell our brand and farmer stories, share cooking tips and recipe ideas, explain our production standards, and answer customer questions—all while creating a warm, welcoming experience.
Scope of Work
- Approximately 15–20 tastings or events per year
- Most tastings take place on weekends
- Typical in-store tastings last 3 hours, with at least 30 minutes before and after for setup and breakdown
- Some community events may last up to 6 hours
- Events are scheduled well in advance, with at least one month’s notice whenever possible
What We’re Looking For
The ideal Brand Ambassador is:
- Highly organized, reliable, and communicative
- Punctual and comfortable working independently
- Enthusiastic about Firsthand Foods’ mission and excited to engage customers
- Confident speaking with shoppers and answering questions about food and sourcing
- Able to pick up products from our Durham warehouse and transport them to events
- ServSafe certified or able to demonstrate strong food handling and safety knowledge

Compensation
- $25 per hour, including travel time
- Meat credit toward Firsthand Foods products
