This delicious BBQ pork & pimento cheese dip recipe comes to us courtesy of Abby Montmeyer, our amazing Accounts Manager and former pastry chef at Roses Noodles, Dumplings & Sweets in Durham. Try it next time you’re hosting a game night gathering or need an easy potluck dish to share. It’s super easy to make and your friends and family will be wowed by its cheesy tangy flavor. One bite and they’ll be addicted!
BBQ Pork & Pimento Cheese Dip

Ingredients
- 8 oz. Firsthand Foods chopped NC style BBQ pork (save the rest for dinner or double the recipe to use the whole bag)
- 6 oz. pimento cheese, we used Weaver Street Markets!
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 4 shakes of your favorite hot sauce
- ¼ cup finely chopped shallots or red onion, whichever you have on hand
- 1 ¼ cup (or add more!) shredded cheddar or colby jack cheese (for the topping)
- optional: thinly sliced green onions – scattered on top after baking
Instructions
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and have your favorite 8-9 inch baking dish ready. You can also make this a day in advance.
- Mix all the ingredients together except the shredded cheese.
- Pour into your baking dish. Top with shredded cheese.
- Wrap to bake the next day or put in the oven to bake for 30 minutes.
- Bake until bubbly around the edges.
- Cool slightly, serve with your favorite cracker/chip (we used Ritz crackers) and ENJOY!
