Are you ready for a challenge? The Firsthand Foods Let’s Go Local Burger Challenge starts tomorrow, and we’ll be giving away $300 in (super local) prizes! We’re partnering with Bestway Market and Deep Roots Market, Bulldega Urban Market, Durham Coop Market, and Sundries and Chatham Marketplace to encourage shoppers to make creative local burgers this summer. Head on over to Instagram to participate. Here’s the scoop:
You have until July 3rd to build the most local burger you can imagine, and on the Fourth of July two people will win $150 in local prizes!
🍔 Build your local burger at home using as many North Carolina ingredients as you can, starting with a base of Firsthand Foods ground beef.
🍔 Grab your local ingredients from local markets. Be sure at least some of your local ingredients are from one of our participating retailers: Durham Coop Market (Durham), Deep Roots Market (Greensboro), Bulldega (Durham), Chatham Marketplace (Pittsboro), Bestway (Greensboro), or Sundries (Durham).
🍔 Post a picture of your local burger (or of you eating it!). In your post, be sure to:
- Use the #LetsGoLocalBurger hashtag.
- Tag @firsthandfoods + one of our participating retailers (listed above).
- For a better chance of winning, tag all the local producers who made the ingredients on your burger!
🍔 TWO winners will be picked on July 4th and EACH winner will receive $150 in gift cards to participating markets! EVERYONE who participates gets a snazzy pair of Firsthand Foods socks (while supplies last). 🧦
🍔 The winners will be chosen based on creativity + quantity of local goods used in making of the burger!
